What does the quartet cost?
The string quartet costs from £480 for three hours. Please enquire for shorter or longer periods of time.
There are other combinations of instrumentalists you may consider. See our repertoire page.
Do you play outside?
Yes, as long as it doesn’t rain, hail or snow, or get far too cold or windy.
Do you take breaks?
Usually a couple of ten minute breaks s in a three hour period.
Do you need chairs or lighting?
Yes please. The quartet needs four armless chairs and good lighting. The Palm Court Trio and the Duo both use electric piano, so therefore we will also need electric power as well as chairs and good lighting.
What do you wear?
Usually black. However for Summer weddings and lighter occasions we can dress less formally.
How far can you travel?
Please enquire about distances.
Can I request music?
Certainly! We will do our very best to play something you would like. If we need to write a new arrangement, there is a fee.
What do you play?
Our repertoire is extensive. Anything from Mozart to the Beatles, Bach to Gershwin, Brahms to Scott Joplin. Viennese Memories, Opera classics, Cabaret, Songs from the shows, TV themes, Old Time Music Hall, .... Classical all-sorts.
Would you like refreshments?
That would be lovely! Soft drinks and nibbles would be very welcome.
Can we hear you play?
Yes, you are welcome to pop in to a venue or listen to us on the website.
Can you always get players?
Yes, Ad Musicam has a professional team of players to call on if some one is ill.
